Working with individuals and couples for more than thirty years, I continue to be impressed again and again at what can happen when we bring genuine curiosity and compassionate, unconditional regard to the places where we feel stuck.
So much becomes possible when we commit together to creating and holding a space with intention, respect, and courage in order to address our experience and move toward what else can be.
I help people to focus on issues as they present in the here and now, with the understanding that unresolved issues from the past continue to present until they are tended to.
What so often troubles us is the suffering that results from resistance to our experience and attachment to how we think things could or "should" be, rather than an authentic acceptance of and working with what is.
Collaborating in therapy, this translates into using insight and felt-experience to transform our working notions of personal agency, responsibility, meaning-making and relationship in order to metabolize, integrate and move into and through the stuff of our lives - ultimately enabling us to create lives that reflect who and how we want to be.
I love what I do and feel privileged to facilitate and witness what the power of being seen and heard can do.
